Getting Started at Remnants

    First of all, I'd just like to say, welcome to Remnants! However you found us, we're happy to have you here. My name is Finch, and this thread should help you navigate this site. I know it can be a bit confusing, so let me start with the most important thing:

    You do not need to read everything in order to join. Characters are the center of everything on Remnants, and creating your character is the only thing you have to do to join Remnants!

    This thread is meant to act as a getting started point, to show you through the most important boards here at Remnants.

    First of all, before joining, you'll want to read our forum rules. These can be found here.

    Now that that's done, it's time to work on your character! Before making them, I recommend that you skim the threads here and here. They explain pretty much everything about our world. If you're interested, there are a few other threads in the Mythos and World Information board that explain certain aspects in more detail.

    Once you've gotten an understanding of the world at Remnants, you're ready to create your character! First, please create your account. For creating a character, we encourage everyone to be creative. If you're looking for inspiration, try thinking about how your character survives in this world. Are they part of a faction? Do they agree with the leaders of their faction? The possibilities are infinite, here, so just be creative!

    All information about creating your character, as well as the template for your character's intro, look to this thread.

Once your character is created, that's it! You're ready to roleplay!
